The art of etiquette and protocol in social and professional relations according to Paula Bobone

Renowned for her vast experience and expertise on the subject, Paula Bobone visited Círculo Eça de Queiroz to share insights on the importance of etiquette and protocol in today’s world and their essential role in building successful social and professional relationships.

During the event, Paula Bobone emphasized the constant evolution of etiquette and protocol and the importance of understanding their origins to better apply these rules in modern times. “More than just a rigid set of formalities,” she explained, “etiquette is a reflection of culture and society, adapting to the new dynamics of the modern world without losing its essence.”

With a degree in Germanic Philology from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lisbon, Paula Bobone began her career at the Ministry of Culture in 1974. After retiring in 1999, she dedicated herself to the study and promotion of these practices. Her book “Socialmente Correcto”, published in 2004, became a reference in the field.

Held in the Salão Nobre of CEQ, the event provided a forum for discussion and learning about the social norms that shape daily interactions and the meaning of being ‘socially correct’ in today’s world.
